To digitize the ‘waqf,’ which was established by the Sunnah, we decided to start with two causes that have a fundamental role in Islamic tradition: feeding the hungry and education.

We wanted to focus on multiplying sadaqah and working with trusted and licensed institutions with a proven track record in deploying sadaqah in a transparent way.

And this is why we partnered with the SABAH Islamic Center in Chicago, a 501(c)(3) licensed nonprofit that exactly focuses on those causes.

Providing meals for the hungry

“The best of you are those who feed others” (Hadith, Musnad Ahmad 23408)

Every Saturday, through the Blue House initiative, SABAH Islamic Center provides nutritious meals to those who need them the most.

This way, they feed more than 3000 families per year by providing more than 10,000 pounds of food per month.

SABAH Islamic Center records every distributed meal so that we can inform you through Afterfund about the difference your donation is continuously making.

Now, with Afterfund and SABAH Islamic Center, you can “plant a palm tree” that provides more and more meals for the needy, while tracking the difference you are making.

Education

“Read in the name of your Lord…” (96:1)

SABAH Islamic Center has also an educational program to help hardworking students in both their secular and religious studies. Aiming to service the great demand in Muslim schools among the Muslim community in Chicago, Afterfund sees a sustainable vision to develop talent, irrespective of how rich or poor a student is.

Through this program, they provided education to more than 750 children so far.

With Afterfund and SABAH Islamic Center, you can “plant a palm tree” that provides more and more education and monthly stipends for children, while tracking the difference you are making.
